Attendees were reminded of ways that exercise enriches lives with a handout of 100 ways. Tips shared by Dr. Kristi included putting goals down on paper and reviewing them daily. She encouraged young professionals to make short and long term goals that were realistic.
When it comes to exercise Dr. Kristi said the secret is in picking something you like to do. When possible exercise with a buddy.
Food goals seemed timely after the holidays. Dr. Kristi wisely suggested those looking to change the way they eat start with small changes. She recommends making your own food, eating in, shopping local, and eating in season.
Wendy Crawford highlighted the wealth of health and fitness resources that are a part of the SAYPRO group. Members include personal trainer Andrea Wallace, Advocare advocate Ron Lawrence, and others.
